another day, another shape

submitted Drop Box
Appears same, but not same with prior article :-)
This is another omelet I cooked on 17th November.
Seems better, seam is now sliding to bottom (^^)b

However, once cut it half but none of juice leaked... Yes, well-cooked.
Omelet needs speed and skill :-)
See another one to come ;-)

How about amateur work, like mine?

As you see, juicy egg source inside, however, it is leaking out as joint cannot be hidden...
Still 3 out of 5 :(

Omni Chicago Hotel, Chicago

Submitted Omni Chicago Hotel

Have you been to Chicago, Il., in the United States of America?
And, before you go, may I ask how good you had experiences for dining in the States? :D

I only went to main land once before staying overnight in Chicago in 2007, that was in
Orlando, Fl., say, Disney World:-)  But, even the Magic Kingdom, back in 90's, there was
no magic on the plates so I had less expectation with Chicago dining, until I got a large
pizza on the street in the evening.  So gooood.

Then, sleepless night due to system trouble in Tokyo kept me all night long was over
and I went down to 676 Restaurant and Bar in Omni Chicago Hotel, all suite room hotel
in the central of Chicago.

Yes, as you saw above, none of omelet was served in the breakfast (but who in the world has plain omelet as dinner???), but well cooked but juicy scramble egg, with pretty much baked potato with bacon.  It was indeed impressive dish ever had!  I would say to you, you must have it once you come to Chicago!!!

The Clipper Lounge, Mandarine Oriental Hong Kong

Submitted The Clipper Lounge, Mandarine Oriental Hong Kong - August 2007

This is the 3rd sequel of breakfast hopper in Hong Kong, at the Clipper Lounge, Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.  I always stay at Conrad Hong Kong, so I remember that I woke up and made up my mind suddenly and jumped into taxi to get there by 5 minutes from Conrad.  I assume the building is slightly old so that the lounge has lower ceiling comparing with other hotels, but yes, quality is fine.  However, again and again, omelet is three-folded!  I wonder if all the chiefs in town should be trained to cook
omelet in that way, otherwise banned :-)

Anyway, I can recall that I should not compare with the one at Kshiki, Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, though HK one is still good to have.

Cafe Too, Shangri-La, Hong Kong

Submitted Cafe Too, Shangri-La Hong Kong - August 2007

This is a second sequel of breakfast hopping around top-tier hotels in Hong Kong island :-)
Cafe Too in Shangri-La is all-day buffet style dining but its quality is notable (and, yes expensive :-).

However, omelet is made in the same way as Conrad, three-folded cooked egg sheet,
so you cannot enjoy much about juicy egg!!!  But, still, without saying, satisfactory level of dish
thanks to basic skill and technique of dining with Cafe Too.  Enjoy!

Conrad Hong Kong

Submitted Breakfast at Conrad Hong Kong - August 2007

Hong Kong has a mixture of western and eastern for everything: culture, art, and of course cuisine!

And, here is a sample of such mixture. At a glance, it has well-formed crescent but in fact, chief has three-folded a sheet of well-cooked egg, so no juicy unfortunately. But, technique of folding is not that easy, though he used a egg source from paper pack of bottle as if milk... Yes, this is sort of mixture of fun and puzzled of eat...

The Clarence, Dublin

Submitted: The Clarence, Dublin

I say here "around the world", I would try to gather so many omelets from everywhere on the globe, as much as possible, and here today I brought a shot of omelet at the Clarence, Dublin, which is owned by Bono and the Edge, U2, when I stayed there in the 1st week of June this year.

Yes, I can recall this omelet, with bacon, is quite juicy one and I loved it, though it appears slightly less perfect shape :-)

Sofitel Metropol Hanoi

As you may find me at emichanproduction.com extended or twitter, I am here at Sofitel Metropol Hanoi. And as usual, I asked Omelet for breakfast.

As you see, well-formed as rugby football shape, and well-cooked. Taste good, but slightly too well-cooked so you cannot enjoy juicy egg. Enjoy!
